California Orchid Societies
The best source for information regarding the care and cultivation of
orchids in your area is your local orchid society. California has many micro-climates that
will influence the genera you may want to grow.
Most societies meet monthly. The meetings often have Show & Tell
where members bring in orchids they have flowered. Guest speakers with information for the
care and cultivation are featured at meetings. Often they will supply the opportunity or
raffle table with plants to help your collection grow. In addition guest speakers may have
plants for sale.
